A few weeks ago my writing class did what felt like a few simple exercises that turned into some magical insights. We created three lists. One covered our favorite foods. Another included our life necessities. And the last one had us writing down specific handling instructions.
Special Care Instructions (from God)
Handle with tenderness and curiosity
Soak in hot water daily
Needs a lot of outdoor time
Loves animals and games
Runs better, happier, freer when she moves her body
Must have downtime each day
Help her trust herself
Plays well with others and needs solitude
She may be a later bloomer
Feed her your favorite home cooked meal and she will always return
She will want to explore the world
You know she likes you when she makes you or sends you flower arrangements
She is soft spoken and loves to laugh
She enjoys thoughtful gifts, not expensive ones
She will always be a seeker
Nurture her with kindness and patience as you listen to her, she sometimes has trouble getting the words out
She loves to ask questions, make sure she answers them
Must perform grounding practices like meditation, long walks and reading poetry
Likes to take care of others, make sure she takes care of herself
She is a creature of routine and preparation, and she loves spontaneity
Support her free spirit by dancing with her, she will have a playlist
She is a hard worker
She will always be trying to be stretch her soul
She can be trusted with secrets
Her favorite things include a ripe summer tomato, decaf coffee with half and half, linen sheets, cozy sweaters and fresh cut flowers
She will never be the loudest in the room, she prefers quiet corners
She takes things literally
She will have many interests and try many things
She believes in second chances & miracles
She has good instincts, encourage her to listen to them
She will almost always find a silver lining
