Call us crazy... or better yet, intrepid. A happily married couple, 3 kids, 1 away at school who will join us eventually, 3 dogs and a fluid cat named Coco. Here I am, with my family, jumping into the land of sunny skies, aqua waters, and green hills of the US Virgin Islands. After 13 years in Connecticut, we sold our home, put our furniture in a 10x10 storage unit, packed a shipping container, and moved sight unseen.

A few things before we get started...
Yes, it rains here.
Yes, we still wear masks in the time of Corona.
Yes, we were planning to move (we just didn’t know where) before Covid-19.
No, I have never written a blog.
No, I am not a saint.
What remains true is a desire to engage in this Caribbean realm, to listen within and to share the abundant discoveries with my fellow sunshine seekers. I can't say where this blog will take me, or you, for that matter, but I can tell you that I am an artist, have a masters in family therapy, and am a proud aquarian with a predisposition for change.
In my creative work, I weave color, landscapes, nature and emotions onto the canvas. And for this next chapter in the USVI, I turn to words to self express and expose my own state of sunshine. As Caroline Myss says, "Words are vessels of light," and in this new medium, I hope to share the light in the midst of a healing journey, a heart awakening, and new course setting.
My intention is that this space brings light to those who need it, allows shadows to exist and not be judged and inspires reflection and stillness in your own quiet moments of this abundant world. What I share will be as organic as I can tolerate, shedding the need for perfection and approval. This kind of exposure is all new to me, and a bit unnerving if I am honest, and yet my need to expand and be brave surpasses the fear and trepidation of a self revealed.
